Alberta has laws that make it easy for travel clubs to scam consumers- and what is really nasty- the scammers use the law as a means of reassuring consumers and convincing them that signing up with their club is safe.

A perfect example of this is Andre Muran and his various club(s)

People have been told that if they sign up today, they get a bonus and, they need not worry because if they sign up and then change their minds, they can cancel within 10 days and the law in Alberta requires the travel club to refund all monies.

Here is the catch- Andre Muran's companies have been up on criminal charges because what they were doing was telling people that before they could receive their refund, they had to first send the travel club all materials that were given to the consumer in the first place. That includes their contracts. once these materials are safely back in the hands of the scammers, the consumer no longer has any proof that there was ever a contract with the "club"

So the duped consumer can contact Alberta Government Services, but there is then nothing that can be done because there is no evidence- the consumer sent it back.

More recently, I am hearing from scammed people that the "club" is taking a whole new tact. They simply don't answer the phone number that consumers are being given to call if they want to cancel. Once the 10 days allowed by law have lapsed, the consumer is hooped- even though they had no hope of getting anyone on the phone to cancel.

Andre Muran operates a number of businesses. Chateau World or Chateau World of Resorts is the one that is being used most these days. Before, it was Royal Club international, Royal Club Resorts and Royal Crown Resorts. As I understand it, the next one will be Elevations Resort... buyer beware...

Currently, Andre Muran has his staff disparately trying to reorganize Google ranking on his name. Up until recently, the first two pages of links on Andre Muran all exposed him as a scam artist. The strategy being employed at this time is to set up a number of bogus blog accounts with lots of references and links under the name "Andre Muran"- and this strategy is working somewhat. The rankings are changing and Andre's bogus blogs are creeping up in the ranks.

There is allot of negative information about Andre Muran on the internet.
Government investigations, criminal charges and more seem to plague this man and now, it is becoming apparent that he is making an effort to hide the negative information that exists about him by setting up numerous bogus blogs.
